OC Bumper and Body originated in South Africa in 1994 as a small mobile bumper repair business. It soon grew into a thriving minor collision repair facility which specialized in cosmetic automotive repairs. In 1998, the founder, Daryl Varkel, migrated to the USA.
He started doing small mobile bumper repairs under the name of “Touch n Go”. Through exceptional customer service and quality of work, the business fast outgrew the ability to cope with the demand for mobile service. In 2005, the business moved into a small facility in Irvine and the name was changed to “The Bumper Guy”. In 2008, the business once again moved to a larger facility, also in Irvine. This move was necessary as the business was now doing bigger and more complicated repairs as requested by loyal customers.
With the recent recruitment of more skilled technicians and acquisition of specialized equipment, OC Bumper and Body has grown into a full service body shop while still maintaining the ability to accommodate those small cosmetic repairs, without compromising exceptional customer service and quality work.
